In 2021, Isomer made a co-investment into Entrepreneurs First (EF) TopCo, backing one of Europe’s most distinctive models for company creation at a time when the platform was still early in its global scaling journey.
Today, EF has reached unicorn status following a $200m fundraise, marking a significant milestone for the business and the broader European technology ecosystem.
Since its founding in 2011 by Alice Bentinck and Matt Clifford, EF has pioneered a talent-first approach to venture creation by identifying exceptional individuals before they even have a company idea and helping them build globally ambitious technology businesses from scratch.
The model has helped create companies including Tractable, Cleo, PolyAI, Magic Pony and Gensyn, with EF’s portfolio now reportedly valued at over $16bn collectively.
