Exciting Times Ahead for European Venture!

“Pension savings lack exposure to risky assets with the growth potential to fund a decent retirement” (The Economist, July 12th)

As the landscape of  pension savings continues to evolve, the need for exposure to high-growth assets becomes increasingly apparent. Recent developments indicate that international pension funds are recognising the immense potential of the UK and European ecosystems. Notably, influential US giant Calper’s and other major players are preparing for a “multibillion-dollar” foray into international venture capital.

We are delighted to witness the beginning of a ground-breaking initiative known as “The Mansion House Compact,” which aims to encourage UK’s largest pension funds to allocate a higher portion of their portfolios to unlisted firms. This move signifies a significant step toward unlocking capital for unlisted companies, potentially increasing their allocation from less than 1% today to an impressive 5% by 2030.

Isomer Capital is already the partner of choice for several pension funds around the world to give them exposure to the European venture capital opportunities.
