Today we are publishing a new report: “Sustainability in European VC: An LP’s View”.

In the many meetings we have held with investors and VCs over the past few years, the topic of ESG and sustainable investing arises more and more frequently. Many managers have a desire to become more sustainable, and in general, we’ve noticed some confusion and a general desire for guidance on this topic.

What are European VCs doing about sustainability – if anything?! How do venture funds position themselves as sustainable, without getting tarnished by a label of pursuing below-market returns as an impact fund? What concrete actions can funds take to become more sustainable investors? Do sustainable companies really lead to better returns?

We decided to gather our thoughts on what is driving the sustainability agenda in Europe, what we are seeing in the VC landscape, and most specifically, what action Isomer and our portfolio VCs are taking in regard to sustainable investing.

We hope this report gives you a better understanding of how the European VC ecosystem is tackling the issue of sustainability – and we will continue working to contribute to a more sustainable world.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our portfolio VCs for their contributions to this report! If you have any comments, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
