Joe has 25 years’ experience working as an LP, GP and technology operations executive. Prior to Isomer he was MD for Business Development at Pomona Capital, a leading global secondaries firm, and earlier at Cambridge Associates responsible for advising institutional investors on venture capital and private equity investments. Joe began his career in information technology operating roles, most notably at Invensys plc (now Schneider Electric) in the US and Europe. He received a BS Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and an MBA from London Business School.

Chris Wade

As the co-founder of Isomer, Chris co-leads fund investments and leads Isomer's co-investment program. In addition, he leads on Japanese LP relationships and Isomer's corporate investor program. Prior to Isomer he was a venture partner at Octopus Ventures and Entrepreneur First, whilst he was previously a technology entrepreneur.

Chris is an experienced founder, advisor, startup mentor and technology executive. Prior to Isomer he was the founding director of the Venture Capital Unit for the UK government where he cultivated over $1bn invested from the US and Asia into fund and direct company opportunities.

As a venture partner at Octopus Ventures and Entrepreneur First he is an active value-add non-executive director and has mentored 15 companies to successful seed funding. Chris co-founded Cambridge Positioning Systems which was sold to a global semiconductor firm in 2007, prior to which he worked for 15 years in technology operations at US-based DSC, where he assisted in its $4bn sale to Alcatel, and at Nortel.

Chris holds a BSc in Physics and Chemistry from Leeds University.

Astrid is a member of Isomer's Investment Committee, and an adviser to the firm. Having worked in venture capital since the 80s, her career has spanned a number of market-leading venture capital and private markets data and consulting firms including Cambridge Associates, Highland Capital Partners, and Charles River Ventures.

Astrid has wide experience of the venture capital industry, having worked in roles at a number of market-leading venture capital and private markets data and consulting firms. She was most recently a Managing Director and private investments specialist at Cambridge Associates. She advised on private investments portfolios for a number of institutional investors globally, before which she led Private Investments Research and Performance Monitoring, and was one of the creators of CA’s proprietary private investments databases.

Prior to joining Cambridge Associates Astrid was a Manager in Venture Economics’ Analytical Products, Director of Research at Highland Capital Partners, and a research analyst at Charles River Ventures. Astrid currently serves on the investment advisory board of asset management firm Fondaco S.p.A., Turin, Italy.

She is a member of the investment committee of Cintrifuse Early Stage Venture Capital Fund, the Selection Advisory.

This included an accelerator whereby she was responsible for entrepreneur experience and leveraging investor and mentor engagement, and a programme whereby Chloe supported the management of a fund for technology-for-development start-ups.

Thomas Schneider

Thomas is member of Isomer’s Investment Committee and leads fundraising and investor relations functions. Being active in continental Europe’s ecosystems, he contributes to manager research with a particular focus on France and Italy. Previously, Thomas was heading the Southern Europe business of Russell Investments.

Thomas has 15 years of experience in the asset management industry and more recently as an entrepreneur developing companies in Italy. He was responsible for the Southern European business of Russell Investments, one of the largest multi-managers in the world, where he worked with some of the most important financial institutions in Europe to develop investment solutions to address their needs.

Being fluent in French and Italian, and speaking some Spanish, he helps reinforce our network and insight in continental Europe. Thomas holds degrees from Université Paris IX-Dauphine and Paris V – Descartes.

Nicola heads up the finance function, overseeing accounting, fund and corporate reporting, cash management and associated operations in Luxembourg. Previously, Nicola has worked in a number of other finance roles within Private Equity.

Nicola is an experienced financial professional with more than 10 years experience in the Private Equity sector. She brings to Isomer experience in fund reporting, investor reporting, off-shore holding company reporting and regulatory compliance.

Nicola has previously worked as Financial Controller at Bluegem Capital Partners and Syntegra Capital Partners. She has also spent time during her career in general practice within the audit and assurance sector, overseeing a varied client portfolio.

Nicola is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a BSc(Hons) in Mathematics with Finance from the University of Southampton.

Pascal is an experienced corporate finance adviser to companies, funds and institutional investors. He has an extensive portfolio of angel investments in early stage technology companies and co-founded London-based investment banking firm Lancea Partners in 2005.

Previously he created a private equity advisory business within Credit Lyonnais UK to advise early stage technology and cleantech companies on their development and funding strategies. Pascal spent the first two decades of his career developing first the US, then the European equities business for Salomon Brothers International, subsequently setting up the European equities desk for Nomura International, and then at Credit Lyonnais Securities Europe.

Pascal has an MBA from the Wharton School and a BA in economics from Connecticut College.

Michael Joyce

Michael is an experienced investment consultant and tech scout, most notably in his prior career at Cambridge Associates and Fidelity. Before Isomer, he was an independent consultant to venture capital firms in the US and Europe and advised on several M&A transactions for a private healthcare company. Before that Michael was an Investment Director at Cambridge Associates in London, working with sovereign wealth fund, pension, and family office clients on asset allocation and strategic investment initiatives, earlier spending time in CA’s Silicon Valley office researching and conducting due diligence of VC and other private fund strategies globally. Earlier at Fidelity Investments, Michael led emerging technology research and analysed relevant startups to help the firm’s CTOs identify and adopt disruptive technology. Michael is a co-founder and adviser to a medical device startup based in Boston, USA, and is conversant in Mandarin Chinese and the programming language Python. He holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor of Science from Suffolk University (USA).

Before joining Isomer full-time Freddie was a summer intern with the firm, and he previously completed two internships at high-growth fintech company Calastone in Hong Kong.

Freddie studied Engineering at Edinburgh University. He speaks conversational Mandarin, which he had the opportunity to study in China and Taiwan.

Marloes Dellemann

Marloes supports Isomer's day-to-day activities, helping keep the team and office on track. As a host, she takes care of the Isomer community by coordinating and assisting events, meeting and business operations. Prior to Isomer, Marloes had also written and published a children’s Dutch language book.

Marloes supports Isomer’s day-to-day activities, helping keep the team and office on track. She has entrepreneurial experience as creator of her own language courses and study books for children. Like all early-stage founders Marloes managed everything from design to production to marketing and sales. She experienced first-hand the difficulties entrepreneurs face while starting up, and how critical it is to have the right supporting cast around you.

Marloes holds a degree in Primary Education and Teaching from the HAN Higher Education School in Arnhem, Nijmegen. She speaks Dutch, English, and is working on Greek.

Prior to joining Isomer, Laura grew up in a rural setting in the North Yorkshire Dales and graduated with a degree in International Business. During her studies, Laura completed a year-long internship for a consultancy company working with high-growth technology and life science start-ups, which fuelled her passion for entrepreneurship and venture capital.
After university, Laura's focus shifted towards building and managing an investor community that helps investors navigate local ecosystems outside of London and across the North of England, Scotland, and Ireland. Through this role, Laura worked closely to connect start-ups with investors and collaborated with universities and their TTO's offices to deliver workshops, sit on panels, and conduct 1-on-1 sessions with founders of university spin-outs. Her work allowed her to create a portfolio of clients across the UK and US.

Harry has over 10 years of experience in the Venture Capital and entrepreneurial ecosystem as both a GP and serial entrepreneur.
Before joining Isomer he was a Vice President at Investbridge Capital, working alongside major financial institutions across the globe to develop private investment solutions. Harry formulated and executed strategies across venture capital, real estate and private credit.
Before going into the investment world, Harry bootstrapped his first start up at 21 years of age in the Health and Wellness space scaling the business to over 50 employees. Building on that success he raised external capital to launch two further ventures in the digital advertising and recruitment technology sectors. Harry holds an MSc in Entrepreneurial studies from the Global Business School, Barcelona.

Omolade focuses on secondaries at Isomer, taking experience from prior roles launching a VC secondaries fund in the Middle East, and as an Investment Manager at Coller Capital. At Coller, Omolade focused on underwriting and executing transactions from buyouts to VC, across direct, GP led and LP portfolios. Prior to her secondaries journey, Omolade spent 5 years at Citi and Mizuho, working across the banking divisions, where she focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged portfolios and capital structure advisory. As well as launching her own marketplace startups, Omolade has also helped a number of e-commerce start-ups to develop their growth strategies. Omolade holds an MSc in Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BSc Hons in Mathematical Economics and Statistics from the University of Birmingham, alongside passing all three levels of the CFA exams.

During this time Octopus Ventures established itself as one of the leading venture capital houses in Europe investing in and partnering with some of the UK and Europe’s most successful high growth technology businesses. With over $1bn under management and offices in London and New York, Alex led investments in Zoopla (IPO in 2014 and then sold to Silverlake), Graze (sold to Unilever), Calastone (sold to Carlyle) and Cazoo amongst others. The team that he built at Octopus Ventures led investments into companies that were acquired by Amazon, Microsoft and Twitter with a reputation of assisting its entrepreneurs in their domestic and international expansion. Over the years Alex has served as a director on many company boards and led the strategy to build the successful Octopus growth funds. As Venture Partner Alex lends his extensive experience to Isomer’s direct company investments.

After university, David worked within a startup leading business development. Breaking into the wonderful world of venture only came after a long period of advising early-stage startups on fundraising, business development and strategy. After this, David fell in love with niche-focused emerging and micro VCs solving real-world problems (like biotech, climate tech, space tech, etc.) and became passionate about helping them set up and raise their funds.

He holds an MBA from Henley Business School with a specialisation in disruptive technology.
